The
RSVP Program, one of the largest volunteer efforts in the nation,
matches local community needs with adults 55 years of age or older
willing to offer volunteer service ours at any of our designated RSVP
volunteer stations.
RSVP
volunteers work in a variety of community assignments; tutoring
children, serving meals, sorting and packing food for distribution,
promoting adult literacy, providing health education, serving as
museum docent, providing vital administrative support and more.
RSVP
volunteers choose how and where they want to serve and how many
hours to serve. Volunteers find opportunities to make new friends, share their interests and hobbies and continue to use their skills, talents and wisdom for the betterment of their communities. What if Community Senior Services earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Well, now we can! GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Community Senior Services as the charity you want to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to spread the word!
For placing digital camera photo on the timeline banner the camera should be held 90 degrees from its normail position. This will give a photo which is 3 inches wide by 5 inches tall. This photo will be processed by a photo enhancing program to rototye to a vertical position ,enhanced and sized to ¼ inch wide. It would then be copied and the banner brought to the screen. The edit menu would allow you to paste the photon tp the center of the banner. The photo could then be moved to the proper position on the banner clicking and dragging or by the arrow keys. To move any object the hand should be on the object. For group pictures have the people line up along a side walk. A 1/4 inch graphic on the computer screen will become 1-1/4 on the timeline banner Clickiing on any graphic or text object will cause a box with handle to appear around the item.By clicking on the small blocks the cursor will change to arrows or a hand. The hand will allow you to move the object by either dragging or arrow keyes. Clicking on the small boxes on the sides you can change the width or highth of the object.
